A FRIEND OF MINE

Mati (Aarne Üksküla) doesn't want to live anymore after the loss of his wife. She was everything to him and he thinks that life has no point without her. He has a job in a library and there is Ruth (Rita Raave), who has secretly loved him for years. Life of her daughter Mari (Harriet Toompere) is a mess and she would need a help herself.

Mati just wants to get away.

Then out of nowhere shows up a restless Sass (Aleksander Eelmaa), a friend of all the troubled people. Sass starts to teach Mati how to live. Mati has now a friend, of whom it's almost impossible to get rid of. 

A Friend of Mine, written and directed by Mart Kivistikis, is a warm drama-comedy about the deep loneliness, which can only be cured by friendship.
