Meantime when the films are again on the festival round, „Goodbye Soviet Union“ directed and written by Lauri Randla won the Best Originaal screenplay Award at the EFTA (Estonian Film and TV Awards).
All together „Goodbye Soviet Union“ was nominated in 4 categories: Best film, Best screenplay (Lauri Randla), Best Production Design (Jaana Jüris), Best Costume Design (Mare Raidma).
A short film „Cerberus“ by Kaspar Ainelo was nominated for Best Short Film.
Crew menbers of the „Goodbye Soviet Union“ Mare Raidma and Gristina Pahmann were nominated as Best Costume Designer and Best Make Up Artist at the Finnish National Film Award „Jussi“.
