Film Fund of Estonian Islands
Saaremaa, the largest island in Estonia and the fourth-largest in the Baltic Sea, encompasses an area of 2,922.19 km2 and boasts a coastline stretching nearly 1,300 km. With a population of 33,307 (2017), Saaremaa ranks ninth in the Baltic Sea. In conjunction with its neighboring islands, Saaremaa forms Saaremaa Municipality and Saare County. The inhabitants of Saaremaa are known for their hard work, active lifestyle, and welcoming nature, while also maintaining a certain level of conservatism, which collectively contribute to the unique character of the island.
To be eligible for support, the applicant must be a legal entity registered in Estonia and demonstrate financial stability. Specifically, the applicant must secure at least 50% of the total cost of financing for a film project.
The maximum amount of support available is up to 40% of the eligible costs incurred by the applicant for the implementation of the project within the county.
All applications will be reviewed and responded to within a 30-day timeframe.
